Johnny “Danger” Carlisle
I served in the Army for 8 years as a paratrooper. After getting out and struggling to find a purpose again I found my way to a gym. I was out for. 5 years before that happened. I struggled in my personal and professional life for many different reasons. During the summer of 2020 I went to the gym after taking a hard look at myself and realizing what I had done to my body. I was severely out of shape and knew that I needed to change.
After that gut check, I wanted to find a sport to compete in that would drive me to stay with the mission of changing my body. I found my way to Strongman. I wanted that competition and style that Strongman embodies.
Why a gym?
Johnny and I said one day “lets start a gym.” Then the spark was lit and here we are. We wanted to provide a gym that was dedicated to Powerlifting and Strongman. NOT be a gym that allows them to train but be what we train. We set down and put together a wish list of what we would want to see in a gym for the two sports. We came to the conclusion that we wanted to have Kilogram Plates and competition grade equipment to train on. Train as you fight, well, lift in competition.
